Dr. Charles E. Williams was an osteopath and practiced medicine in the Citizens Bank Building in downtown Ironton. At that point in history, osteopaths focused on the health of the whole person rather than the specific disease or illness. Founded by Andrew Taylor Still, M.D.

Christopher Columbus Lady was born in 1842 in a part of Virginia that would become West Virginia. Lady would be called Columbus Lady in most of his records. Finding records on his life has proven difficult.
