Henry Frederick Horn was born in Ironton on May 3, 1857. He spent one year in Cincinnati, Ohio.
On May 25, 1884, Henry Horn married Minnie Jacobs. The couple would have four children, Albert, Henry, Florence, and Jillian.
In 1891, he and his family moved back to Ironton. The Horns would find a new home at 605 Lawrence Street in Ironton, Ohio. The family’s neighbors were some of the most prominent men in town including John and Hiram Campbell.
In Ironton, Horn worked as a butcher. His son, Henry, would deliver meats to all the houses in the neighborhood surrounding their home. Henry Frederick Horn worked for Fred Cronacher until he had a stroke just before his death on April 25, 1901.
