The Ironton Friends of the Library will be having their fall book sale on Friday, September 23 and Saturday, September 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Donations in good condition can be dropped off at the Ironton Branch up to Thursday, September 22.

The first in a series of videos will appear on our Facebook Page and Youtube Channel featuring local history. The first video will be a short history of the Buckeye House, one of the first hotels in Ironton.

Lori will be bringing you a new series of videos about books she has been reading. The books will vary by genre and topic. The first video is as review of the book, An Elderly Lady is Up to No Good by Helene Turston. 

This video series spotlights Appalachian books, as well as books about Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia.

Each week Lori will cover a topic on local history. Business histories, historical events, disasters, and biographies are some of the topics being covered.  

Teens (Grades 6-12) are invited to the library to engage in some friendly Wii Gaming competitions. There will be a variety of games to choose from. Bring a friend! 

During this program, kids will use oil pastels and construction paper to create some Haunted House art. All supplies provided.

This program is intended for kids in K-5th grades.
